Hi, I’m Angela. I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, and I’m passionate about supporting individuals, teens, and families through life’s challenges with empathy, care, and respect. I work with clients aged 14 and above, including high school students, young adults, and adults navigating personal, academic, and relational concerns.
I have a special interest in helping students explore their educational and career goals. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by school, uncertain about the future, or looking for guidance around your next steps, I offer a supportive space where we can figure it out together.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Athabasca University. My counselling approach is client centered, trauma informed, and culturally responsive. I integrate cognitive behavioural therapy, humanistic and person centered counselling, strength based techniques, and mindfulness based coping strategies. I’m also trained in EMDR, which I use to support clients working through trauma, anxiety, self worth issues, and deeply rooted emotional patterns.
During my clinical practicum at Langley Family and Youth Services, I worked with individuals and families navigating a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, grief, emotional regulation, family dynamics, and self esteem. I continue to draw from that experience as I support clients in private practice.
I offer counselling in English, Dari/Farsi, Hindi, and Urdu. I understand how powerful it is to connect with someone who sees and respects your cultural identity and lived experience. Creating a safe, affirming, and inclusive space is at the heart of my practice.
In our sessions, I focus on building a relationship based on trust and authenticity. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered as you move toward greater clarity, healing, and self awareness.
Outside of counselling, I love being in nature, traveling, cooking for the people I love, and celebrating art in all its forms. Whether it’s music, painting, photography, or storytelling, I find inspiration in creativity and connection. I bring that same spirit of curiosity and care into the counselling room.
